Our carefully selected Arabica beans are blends come from the best plantation all over the world. They are the best Arabicas from: Jamaica, India, Guatemala, Santa Domingo, Vietnam, Brazil, Nicaragua, Peru, Ethiopia.
Coffee beans are traditionally transported to coffee roasters around the world in large, burlap sacks made from jute fabric. Un-roasted beans can maintain their flavor for long periods of time, they continue to be transported in the traditional burlap coffee bag. Those 60 kg juta sacks allow us a greater individual quality control that cannot be achieved in bulk transportation.

The slow roasting methods as opposed to “turbo toasting” is what gives Caffè Vergnano an evenly balanced roast. ! Each origin is roasted separately to perfection to accentuate the full aroma and the quality of each and every bean. This is only possible since Caffè Vergnano is family owned and cared for. The individually slow roasted origins are then blended to guarantee the same quality in every cup of coffee or espresso.
Coffea arabica is a species of Coffea originally indigenous to the mountains of the southwestern highlands of Ethiopia. It is also known as the “coffee shrub of Arabia”, “mountain coffee” or “arabica coffee”. Coffea arabica is believed to be the first species of coffee to be cultivated, being grown in southwest Ethiopia for well over 1,000 years. ! It is said to produce better tasting coffee than the other major commercially grown coffee species, Coffea canephora (robusta), because robusta cherries contain twice as much caffeine as arabica. Caffeine itself has a bitter taste, making robusta more bitter. C. Arabica contains less caffeine than any other commercially cultivated species of coffee.
